Slangcorp is going to put out a free download mixtape of throw back St. Ide's commercials. We are accepting submissions from any artists, the only rules are it has to have at least something to do with St. Ides and be limited to between 30 and 50 seconds. Original beats are encouraged. You have two weeks to work on, since the tracks are short and sweet most submissions will be included, however, editorially, if your shit is real wack, what can I say? Send your tracks to shape.radioland@gmail.com. Here's some motivation.

Gigantic Update!
Greetings! It's been a while since we gave you an update, so this is going to be a long one. What, did you think it's all sex, drugs, and NO rock and roll? You're wrong. Just barely. We've got lots of new offerings and future projects to discuss, so pay attention.
Emily Rugburn's new cassette is out. "Statutory Tape" produced by slangcorp, released by Grandgood. Go to emilyrugburn.com to buy it digitally. We'll have ordering info for the hard copies soon. Note: all phyiscal cassettes come with a link to the digital version for free.

And for an entertaining read, check out this "review" of a recent GDP / Pistol / Faggy Smokes show in Potsdam, NY. We suspect the mean, dumb bitch who was running the show wrote it:

Shape has been kicking it out in San Jose, holding down the slangcorp left coast operation, and starting preliminary work on his new album "The Magic Show"... any producers who want to be part of this new chapter, holler at him. Shape's also been making musical babies with Vida Killz, Pacoe the Illiterate, Opski Chan and Barry Bones. For example:
Since long before she linked up with Shape, Vida Killz has been making records with slangcorp's Brooklyn soldier, G.R.I.E.F.78, who produced 2 full EP's for her. Ambush NJ's pride and joy, Tone Liv, has dropped another banger with the "Path Train to Jersey" EP. It features the hit "Splish, Splash" produced by the Custodian of Records. ...and we're back!
after weeks of getting jerked around by yahoo, things reached a boiling point today. we were informed that the contents of our website were gone, and that our domain name - slangcorp.com - had been handed over to some australian company for safe keeping. we still own the name, but it's been difficult trying to get access to it. in the mean time, we've brought back the page as divisioneastrecords.com
one of the most common questions we get is "what's the difference between division east and slangcorp?" some people don't even bother to ask, mixing and mingling the two names as they see fit. the short answer is: there is no difference. for the purposes of getting us back up and running, the name division east is a perfectly acceptible temporary fix. at least until we can get slangcorp.com back, which should be in a matter of days. or so we're told.
until then, enjoy. some of the links on the blog might be broken, so we suggest you use the 'artists' menu to the left to find whatever you're looking for.

slangcorp shut down by yahoo!
Yahoo has suspended slangcorp due to some sort of copyright infringement. We're waiting for confirmation as to what the exact violation is, and who made the complaint, but it's probably from a large entity if Yahoo decided to invoke their digital fine-print rights to terminate service at any time, for any reason. We are confident that no actual copyright infringement has occurred, since slangcorp.com is a strictly non-profit archival entity.
if's possible that we're being attacked by some sort of industry organization, artist or record label. it could be the federal government exerting their influence, or even breaking the law, in order to silence us. but we won't be silenced! we will be back as soon as possible.
